| Tomorrow is day 10 and time to make my Amish loaves. I have been doing these for so many years, I can't really remember! I had the starter given to me from a friend and I always have one or two in the freezer to keep it going. The last time I made the 2 loaves and started another batch right away, it is so delicious and the hunters are enjoying it right now. If you don't have this one...has cinnamon and brown sugar 1/2 way and on top ( I could send the recipe to see if you have it? ) I would gladly bring my "friendship" starter frozen when we head to Ohio next year. Yes, we are making the 2100 mile trip, as long as the Good Lord allows! Soooooo, do you have the recipe?? Let me know! | |

| hubby is very very fond of a bbq sauce down here called "baby Rays'..and I must admit, I do like it too and I'm not that big on bbq. the chicken he slow cooks and puts the q' sauce on for the last 1/2 hour or so. The ribs, I'll par boil a bit before they go on the grill..not much, but enough. Some put them in the oven overnight and I've thought about trying that, but haven't yet. I think we are going to pre marinade both the chicken and the ribs in some italian dressing overnight this time..so maybe I'll bake the ribs a little bit before hand. | |
